The beginning of documentary was about the filmmaker's personal life. The first clip we see is of the filmmaker's wife giving birth to their son. Then he starts to talk about his career and his achievement as a filmmaker. After to tells us about his trip to Africa which leads to Jacob's story which leads us to the middle of the documentary. The middle of the documentary talks about how Jacob's brother was killed and all the abductions he has seen. The ending of this documentary tells us how we can get involved and spread Kony's name.

Some conventions that this documentary has to make me think that this a current affairs documentary is that it is telling you about a problem currently going and ways on how we can change it, this documentary includes footage and telling us news on the situation.

The director used emotional stories e.g Jacob's story, mutilations of people's face to maintain people's attentions because people want to know what happens next? and maybe what they can do about this matter. Also the editing was very stylize so it was very interesting to watch.

The purpose of this documentary was to get Kony known everywhere by getting celebrities and government leaders to do to something. To do this he wanted to people to use social media or buy merchandises so we could make Kony 'famous'. They were campaigning for Kony to be arrested and for all the children to be reunited with their families.

I know this because he mentions countries like the UK and America to help out Ugandan which is quite a poor country, and he also post this documentary on YouTube which can be viewed by every country so he is trying to reach to a wider audience.
